How many CE hours does Louisiana require?

LREC requires 12 hours of continuing education every year for active Louisiana real estate licensees. The 12 hours must include 4 hours of the annual Mandatory Topic (changes yearly, typically fair housing, agency, or law update) and 8 hours of elective CE.

Louisiana real estate licenses renew annually by September 30. Complete all 12 hours of CE by September 30 of each renewal year.

Yes. Fortune Academy automatically reports your completion to LREC within 24 hours.

Yes. Fortune Academy's 12-hour LA CE package is 100% online and LREC-approved.

The LREC Mandatory Topic is a 4-hour state-mandated annual course that changes yearly. Common topics include Fair Housing, Agency, License Law Updates. Fortune Academy includes the current Mandatory Topic in every 12-hour package.

If you miss your September 30 renewal deadline, LREC places your license in expired status. Reinstate with completed CE and late fees within the grace period.

LA brokers have the same 12-hour annual CE requirement as salespersons — 4-hour Mandatory + 8 electives. Fortune Academy's package works for both.

Most students finish the 12-hour LA CE package in 1–2 weeks. Self-paced.
