Your Path to Becoming a Licensed Agent
Follow these 5 simple steps to start your real estate career in Delaware
Obtain 99 hours of pre-licensing training that has been authorized.
Candidates must successfully complete 99 hours of Pre-Licensing courses from a real estate education program recognized by the Delaware Real Estate Commission.
Pass the Course Final Exam
There is a course final exam that you may take if you have finished all of the required readings and have enough time. 80% is the cutoff percentage for passing.
Pass the Real Estate Salesperson Examination for Delaware.
The Delaware Real Estate Salesperson Exam, which is given by Pearson VUE, is the next test you must pass. Two sections make up this 130-question test, which covers both federal and state standards.
Select a Sponsoring Broker.
To be licensed, you must first be associated with a current and active Delaware Sponsoring Broker. It's important to find the right Broker to work with since this person will serve as your mentor as you start your new career in real estate.
Complete the application for licensure.
All licensees must register and create an account on the DELPROS website to apply for a license.
