Complete 240 hours of a Pennsylvania-Approved Broker Licensing education
Once you’ve met the prerequisites, it’s time to begin the 240-hours of Pennsylvania state-approved Broker Pre-Licensing education coursework. Two credit hours can be granted for each year of active practice the applicant has as a licensed broker in another state during the 10 years immediately before the Broker application. This requirement can also be satisfied if you have a bachelor’s degree with a major in Real Estate from an accredited college, a juris doctor degree from an accredited law school, or completed 240-hours of broker pre-licensure coursework in another jurisdiction that was approved to meet the requirements.
Pass the Pennsylvania Pre-Licensing Course Final Exams
Part of completing the required coursework is passing the course’s final exams. An exam score of 70% or greater is needed to receive a certificate of completion.
Create a Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS)
If you haven’t done so already, make sure you have set up a Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS) account with the Pennsylvania Department of State.
Pass the National & Pennsylvania Real Estate Broker Exam
After completing the course exams, the next step is to apply to take the Pennsylvania Real Estate Broker Exam. The application to take the exam will cost $40 and you will need to provide the necessary documentation requested in PALS.

How do I get a Pennsylvania real estate Broker License?
To become a real estate Broker in Pennsylvania, an applicant must meet these prerequisites: Be at least 21 years of age. Have a High School Diploma or GED. Must have 3 years of experience as a Pennsylvania-licensed salesperson or possess at least 3 years of other experience, education, or both, that the Commission considers the equivalent of 3 years of experience. Be able to provide a recent Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) from the state police or other approved state agency. Once the prerequisites have been met, an applicant must: Complete 240-hours of commission-approved Broker Pre-Licensing education. How long does it take to get a Pennsylvania real estate Broker License online?
